Vaccinations:

Vaccines are not just for children. National guidelines call for adults to be vaccinated per the following general guidelines:

* Tetanus, Diptheria, Pertussis (every 10 years)
* Steptococcal Pneumonia (once after age 65; before age 65 if chronically ill)
* Influenza (every Fall)

There are variations to this general schedule for certain situations and conditions. Dr. McFarland will diligently review your specific vaccine needs with you and ensure that you are up-to-date. If you and Dr. McFarland agree that you need a particular vaccine, it will be skillfully administered by one of our trained staff.

Medication Prescribing & Management:

Your choice of electronic, written, faxed, phoned, or mailed prescriptions; long-term medications in either 30 or 90 day supplies – your choice; computerized drug interaction monitoring when on multiple drugs; refills as appropriate, upon request by you or your pharmacy, provided your scheduled office visits are up to date.

Skin Procedures:

Dr. McFarland is trained and skilled at treating various skin conditions, such as:

* Removal of skin tags
* Removal of concerning moles
* Removal of keratoses
* Removal of cysts
* Opening and draining infected boils/abscesses
* Freezing actinic keratoses (precancerous growths)
* Cryosurgery for warts

Ear Wax Removal:

Ear canals can sometimes become clogged with excess wax and require water irrigation for removal. Our staff is trained to extract wax from blocked ear canals.

Tobacco & Alcohol Cessation:

Any tobacco use at all, and excessive alcohol use are extremely harmful to your well-being, longevity, and long-term quality of life. Dr. McFarland can help you reduce or eliminate tobacco use and excessive alcohol use. There are various techniques and medications available to help.
